Harvest before the storms.
This year is my first year growing ranunculus. I didn’t get get a fall succession in the ground like I had wanted, nor a mid winter thaw succession. I told myself I would get them in the ground in early March. Didn’t do that either. I didn’t pre sprout my corms till late March and didn’t get them in the ground until April 10th.🫠
I shouted to Jack, (my little flower farmer) hey the ranunculus are blooming. He peered around the end of the bed, jaw dropped. He saw his corms that he pre sprouted and threw in the basement closet for two weeks and then threw in the ground on a bitter day turn into the most beautiful delicate flower.
