Working Wednesday: Remembering our "Rocky" 9/26/1924-5/13/2022
After posting yesterday about the office parakeets, which he loved so much. It made me think highly of a man so truly missed. Working Wednesday this week is dedicated to a member of our family, no longer here. His dedication was inspiring, in his 90s and still driving himself to work everyday, fixed neons, making post office runs, and just his presence that no one will forget. I remember asking him every morning how he was doing and getting the same response, " Too soon to tell". Summer BBQ are not the same without his skills on the grill making his Famous "Rocky Burgers". Rocky worked at L.Knife for over 40 years, he was a man of so little words, but full of so much history. I came to learn that he was a combat medic during WWII in 1943, and was awarded several medals and honors for his service.
