Somehow the summer just… ended, and now it's earlier alarms, back-to-back showers, three people needing hot water before 8am, and a house that went from relaxed to chaotic overnight.

That's usually when the water heater starts making itself known.

Maybe it's running out faster than it used to. Maybe it takes way longer to recover between showers. Maybe there's a noise that wasn't there in June that you've been lowkey ignoring.

It's not an emergency. But it's also not something that gets better on its own — and dealing with it now, before everyone's fully back in the swing of things, is a lot easier than dealing with it when cold showers become a whole situation.

We can come take a look. No pressure, no upsell — just tell you what's actually going on and what makes sense. Repair, replacement, or maybe it's finally time to go tankless.

Cloudy glass, crusty edges, weak spray from the showerhead… it doesn’t take long for hard water to start making brand-new stuff look not-so-brand-new.

That’s the part people don’t always think about during a remodel: the water is still the water.

So before you blame the cleaner, the tile, or whoever used the shower last — test what’s coming into the house.

We’ll help you figure out what’s going on and what actually makes sense.

August is National Water Quality Month. 💧 So let's talk about something most people never think about — where Western Washington water actually comes from.

On city water in Seattle or the Eastside? It starts in the Cedar River and Tolt River watersheds — protected mountain sources, genuinely well-managed. But it travels through miles of aging infrastructure before it reaches your tap, picks up chlorine along the way, and arrives as something slightly different than what left the source.

On a well in Kitsap County? It comes straight from the ground — no treatment, no oversight between the aquifer and your glass. What's in it depends on your local geology, your well depth, and what's happening in the ground around you. Iron, sulfur, bacteria, nitrates — none of them announce themselves.

Two very different sources. Same bottom line.

Where your water comes from is just the beginning of the story. What happens between the source and your tap is what actually matters, and the only way to know is to test.

July has a funny way of showing you what your home has been hiding. 😅

The AC runs more.
The showers run longer.
The laundry piles up faster.
The kitchen sink works overtime after dinners, BBQs, and weekend guests.
The water system gets asked to keep up with all of it.

And suddenly that “small thing” you ignored in spring starts acting a lot less small.

Weak airflow. Slow drains. Staining. Strange smells. Low pressure. Water that tastes a little off. A system that just doesn’t seem to be keeping up.

That’s why July is kind of a stress test for the whole house.

The good news? You don’t need three different guesses from three different places.

We help with water, plumbing, HVAC, and air — so we can look at the full picture and help you figure out what actually makes sense.

👉 No pressure. No guessing. Just a home that works the way it should. Visit our website to learn more about our services: purewaternorthwest.com

If you’re on a well, July is a good time to pay attention to your water. 💧

Spring runoff has settled. Summer water use is up. More showers, more laundry, more irrigation, more guests, more everything.

And sometimes, that’s when people start noticing little changes.

A different taste.
A smell that wasn’t there in winter.
Staining that seems a little worse.
Water pressure that feels slightly off.

Or maybe nothing obvious at all — which is kind of the point.

Not everything in well water announces itself. Some things can change without a taste, smell, or visible warning sign. The only real way to know what’s going on is to test.

So if it’s been more than a year since your well was tested — or you honestly can’t remember the last time — this is your nudge.

👉 Free in-home water testing. Real answers about what’s actually in your water.

No guessing. No pressure. Just information that’s worth having.

You notice it every time. You’ve noticed it for months. And every time, you think, “I should really do something about that.”

Then it drains… eventually.
So you forget about it until next time.

Summer has a way of making slow drains worse. More cooking, more guests, more grease, more food scraps, more “we’ll clean that up later” after backyard dinners and weekend BBQs.

What was “a little slow” in April can turn into “why is this not draining?” by August.

The good news? Drain cleaning is one of those problems that usually doesn’t need to be dramatic. We find what’s causing it, clear it properly, and help you avoid the temporary “pour something down there and hope” routine.

If your sink, shower, or tub has been quietly annoying you lately — this is the nudge.
