The storm that passed through here wasn't too bad. A tree fell on our fence later in the night. Thankfully, it only took about 20 minutes to get it fixed, and I'm so grateful to have well-behaved livestock guardian dogs that didn't leave the farm! ☺️

It only took 3 days, but we actually finished it!
We even threw in a hay storage area.
I'll be so shocked if the goats manage to get in there..😅
Leveling the ground took the longest, followed by the frame.
Once that was out of the way, we had our rhythm down and started putting up the walls and roof!
I’m so grateful for my hardworking husband and for him keeping me motivated.

EDIT TO ADD: Y’all are precious and I didn’t mean to alarm anyone! I am ok, my family is ok. I promise! I just need some time to gain some clarity and focus and see where the path leads. ❤️

After a great deal of thought, many prayers, and tons of tears, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step back from baking for the remainder of 2026. This has been an immensely challenging year in so many ways, and I need this season to care for myself and my family, reflect on my goals, and consider what the future of Cane Ridge Acres might look like.

In order to scale back, any baking I do this fall and winter will be limited to sourdough loaves. There may be an occasional bake day, and I may participate in a few upcoming festivals or market events—but I cannot make any guarantees at this time. Please keep an eye on this page for details as potential plans come together.

It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for the past three and a half years. Because of this community, my family and I have had opportunities and experiences I never could have imagined when I started baking. Every order, kind word, recommendation, and familiar face at the farm stand or market has meant more to me than you know. You’ve made room for my little business in your homes and at your tables, and that is something I’ll always treasure.

I’m hopeful this isn’t goodbye; for now, it’s simply, “I hope to see y’all soon.” Thank you for being such a meaningful part of this chapter. 🤍

Just wanted to let our followers know we're changing our name; we'll still be registered as Foraging Ireland Acres with the ADGA, but we'll be going by Stewart Farm moving forward!
