That’s my mom, dad, and me, and quite possibly the very beginning of my love of ice cream. 🍦

I spent many a childhood summer enjoying ice cream from Weir’s, so collaborating on a specialty flavor with them all these years later feels like a pretty wonderful full-circle moment.

I’m delighted to report that Cara-Sel Carmelita will be returning in early June. 🤗

One of my favorite things about doing markets is coming home inspired by what other makers are creating. Last week at Lyndhurst, I picked up a tub of pickled jalapeño pineapple from and immediately started dreaming up dinner ideas. 🍍🔥

Last night it became teriyaki-glazed salmon roasted with the pineapple + scallions, served with rice and green beans. Sweet, salty, tangy, spicy — it was such a good combo.

Now I’m wondering what delicious thing I’ll come home with after Tulip Fest this weekend. 👀
