Statement on the Passing of a Long-Serving Employee

It is with profound sadness that the Lenoir County ABC Board acknowledges the unexpected passing of one of our most dedicated employees Jesse Burkett, who faithfully served this organization and our community for 39 years. Jesse’s commitment, work ethic, and loyalty were unmatched, and his presence has been an integral part of our daily operations for nearly four decades.

Throughout his career, he demonstrated exceptional professionalism, kindness, and a genuine desire to serve the people of Lenoir County. Jesse’s contributions helped shape the standard of excellence we strive to uphold today. More than a valued employee, Jesse was a trusted colleague and a friend to many within our system.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Jesse’s absence will be felt deeply across all our stores and among all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

To honor Jesse’s memory and legacy, the Lenoir County ABC Board will continue to reflect on the many ways he enriched our organization and our community. Jesse’s decades of service will never be forgotten.

All entries will be put into a computerized randomizer and one name will be drawn. You will have until Wednesday August 6th to purchase after being contacted at a cost of $8024.95 after tax.
