We have 5 hogs available, going in for processing late December/January and are taking deposits now.

Stop buying that grey dull meat from the store and enjoy dark pink/red meat. If you want meat that is quality, good tasting and tender. Our pork is raised right on quality feed. No hormones or antibiotics. Just natural quality stock!

3 of Reba’s piglets went to their new farm today! Lil chunks were easy to load up and go on their way.

No time to clean out the maternity ward and get ready for Dolly’s litter to come 😬

Piggy update!!!!

Got the farrowing barn 90% complete today! Enough room for momma, bumper and creep for the piglets. Just need to add a gate, stall mats and shavings. Siding this summer to finish it off completely.
Momma is getting big and about to pop!!!! I’d say 2 weeks and babies will be in the ground

All fed. Waterer set up next to the hydrant they’re good to go! This weekend going to add a few more support posts around the perimeter and going to try and get their big feed tray set up too!

Redoing our pen set up and starting on our farrowing barn/shed this weekend! Pigs will be here end of next week hopefully. Then our feeder hogs a few weeks later. Come April we could have close to 40 pigs at the ranch with the new arrivals of piglets/feeders and our breeders.

Think it’s time! The wait is over!

If you followed Bleeding Heart Ranch page you would’ve noticed the addition of our new endeavor with the new “brand”. We are proud to say that we have taken the steps to further our hog business. With the partnership of my dad we will be adding 3 bred sows and a boar to the ranch. 3 of which are registered hogs with the NHHA. The National Hereford Hog Association!!!

What does this mean?

Come April we should have 3 litters of piglets on the ground. And are able to start breeding year round for year round supply of not only meat hogs, but also feeders for other operations, breeders for other operations and 4H projects. To have registered animals is huge. Can potentially lead us to start selling all over the country for the genetics we produce.

Also, with the income we get from these guys we have the opportunity to invest it back in the ranch with the overall goal to able tostart running cattle as well!!!!!!

Our dream of ranch to table products is coming true again. Our goal is and has always been to produce high quality pork and eventually high quality beef. We have been blessed with our previous pork sales, having multiple customers come back because of what they have received with their shares. We will also still be selling farm fresh eggs once the girls start laying again after this cold
