TGIF... All work and no play, makes us very EXHAUSTED. These last couple weeks have been beyond crazy. We’re trying to get the farm and property ready for winter, yes you heard me, winter. The “chore list” is long, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and items are slowly getting checked off. I’ve been brushing out horses for the last week and still not finish as they continue to shed their winter coats. Looks like two horse will need the clippers. Thankfully it’s the weekend and we can get them finished. Cheers

TGIF ?!?! We woke up to a crazy day on the farm, what a mess. Thankful the horses were in the barn last night, during the big windstorm. It was pitch black when we let them out of the barn this morning. Horses eyesight is better then ours and they weren’t happy to find a tree down in their pasture. They ran around snorting until we moved them into another pasture.

And so it begins...
We are rebuilding our manure bin area however this is going to take a while because we have a couple cords of wood to clear out and need to expand the area. I didn’t get a picture before we started, hence the pile of bad wood in the back right corner but you get the idea. I’ll post a picture once it’s finished. It’s a dirty job but somebody’s gotta do it, so let the fun begin.

Horses are going into the barn, we can’t have them out in this smoke. REMEMBER IF IT’S NOT SAFE FOR HUMANS TO BREATHE , IT’S NOT SAFE FOR OUR PETS TO BREATHE EITHER.

There's nowhere to run in Washington: Air quality will be extremely poor in almost every corner of the state on Friday.

We have lots of baby bunnies hopping around the farm this time of year. It’s always important to follow these simple rules, to keep the cottontail rabbits safe from predators and humans. We know people are just trying to help, but sometimes these furry friends don’t need our help at all.
