We want to wish all our friends, visitors, and customers who have supported us this past year, a Happy and Healthy New Year!!!

When we returned home this week, we spotted these hawks on the roof of the shelter in the lower boys paddock. We were excited to see nature taking over rodent control duties. We lost Konani, our 'barn' cat, this past October. We miss her shining eyes looking through the door on the back deck. Letting us know she was ready to rest in the farm store for the night.

This week we will be at the Holiday Farmers Market in Murray, KY. We look forward to this new indoor venue at 208 Main Street. In addition to alpaca socks, gloves, hats, scarves, and hand bags, we will have ties, shawls and throws. We have children’s hats, gloves, sweaters, and socks, as well as, stuffed animals and holiday ornaments. Our friend Elizabeth Shipp will be hand-spinning alpaca fiber with yarn, roving, and garments to add to your gift giving options. Friday, December 5th hours are from 5 pm to 8 pm. Saturday, December 6th hours are 10 am until 2 pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Saturday, November 15th, we will be at the Holiday Vendor Fair at the Murray Woman's Club, 704 Vine Street, Murray. The event is in the lower level from 10 am until 2 pm. We will have our regular alpaca products as well as some new items. See you there!

It took a while, but we finally named this year's cria. Francisca's little boy is Kari, the Norse personification of the wind. He's been pretty independent from the beginning. Here he is on his birthday.

On Friday, April 25th at 8 am, we will hold our annual fiber harvest. The shearers use two stations for our 23 alpacas. Volunteers are needed to help this run smoothly. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

If Friday doesn’t work, would you like to help weigh alpacas, administer meds, and train one little girl to walk on a lead? If so, join us at 1pm on April 12th, April 13th, April 19th, or April 20th. If you would like to get dirty, have some fun, meet the alpacas up close and personal, and play with fiber PM us.

Do you need alpaca yarn for a special holiday gift? Our wonderful hand spinner, Elizabeth, will be at the farm on Friday, December 13 after 4pm. She will have both hand spun and mill spun yarns and roving.

We are excited to be at the Holiday Farmers Market this weekend. Our friend, Elizabeth, will be hand spinning alpaca fleece. She is bringing yarn, roving, and knitted shawls and scarfs for the hand-crafter on your list. We will have warm alpaca socks, scarfs, hats, ties, lap blankets, and other great gift items.
