We spotted some purple prairie clover today on our pasture walk. It appeared to be a favorite of the bees.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our field day today in cooperation with the Missouri Forage and Grassland Council! We were able to make the rounds before it became too terribly hot. I know we are all curious to see the hay test results. We pulled samples on a warm season bale, brome/legume mix bale, and a fescue bale. Also a big shoutout to FCS Financial for providing our lunch!

Do you have everything you need to celebrate the 250th birthday of our country? You can find our bison and beef at Countryside Market just north of Kirksville on Highway 63! They are freshly stocked on beef cuts and carry our delicious ground bison!

Happy Harvest Market just picked up a load of bison this morning! If you have never been down to their store on the NE corner of the square in La Plata, MO, we highly recommend you make a trip. They also informed us that La Plata is having an event today from 10am until 5pm. It would be a great day to visit.
