With heavy hearts, we want to share some very difficult news with our Buckles for a Benefit family.

Clayton “Clay” Cannon Chatham, has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

So many of us were blessed to know Clay and his story, and last year we had the privilege of coming together to support him and his family. For those who followed his journey, prayed for him, or simply cheered him on from afar, we know this loss is deeply felt.

We ask that you please keep Clay’s mom, Jenny, his dad, Chris, his sister Brooke, his brother Mason, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the unimaginable loss of their little boy.

There are no words that can make this easier. We can only hope they feel surrounded by the same love and support that surrounded Clay throughout his fight.

Clay’s family shared that he was “Beloved. Fierce. Unforgettable.” Those words could not be more fitting.

Rest easy, Clay. You will not be forgotten. 🤍

For $100, you can sponsor a championship award buckle and have your family name, farm, or business name engraved on the back of the buckle presented to one of our deserving exhibitors.

After hearing your feedback in our recent polls, we're bringing a couple of exciting changes for Buckles for a Benefit 2026! 🤠

🐄 Cow/Calf Pairs! Last year, we added the division at the last minute, so only the Grand & Reserve Champions received buckles. This year, Cow/Calf Pairs will be a full division from the start with a top 5!

🐂 We're also bringing back separate AOB and BI Bull divisions! We offered separate bull divisions in the past, but combined them when entries were too low. Thanks to the growth we've seen over the last few years, we're excited to split the bulls into AOB and BI divisions this year.
