What happens when you arrive and the hotel says they don’t have your reservation? And what do you do when the hotel is overbooked and there’s no room available for you?

These situations can happen, and knowing what to do before you travel can make a huge difference. In this video, I’m breaking down what steps you should take, what documentation you should have ready, and how to protect yourself when your reservation doesn’t go as planned.

One of the biggest tips: always keep your confirmation number, booking email, payment details, and any communication with the hotel easily accessible. If you booked through a travel advisor or third-party site, make sure you also know who to contact immediately if there’s an issue.

Travel isn’t always perfect, but being prepared can help you handle problems faster and with less stress.

While onboard Norwegian Getaway, I stopped by the American Diner to try their vanilla milkshake!

Now, here’s my question for all my cruise lovers… 👀

Exploring Nassau on your own schedule hits differently! 🇧🇸☀️ During my visit, I took a self-driving dune buggy island tour with Virgo Car Rentals, and this was such a fun way to experience more of Nassau beyond the cruise port.

Instead of sitting on a traditional tour bus, you’re behind the wheel, cruising through the island, taking in the palm trees, beaches, neighborhoods and beautiful coastal views. There’s something about driving through Nassau with the breeze coming in and being able to actually experience the destination that makes the adventure even better.

One thing to remember: The Bahamas drives on the left side of the road, so pay attention, take your time, and make sure you understand the vehicle and rental instructions before heading out.

For cruisers looking for something a little more adventurous, a self-driving buggy can be a great way to turn your Nassau port day into an experience instead of just another stop.
