Y’all, I was wearing my “Life is better with Silkies” t-shirt as we were out and about today and someone asked me what a silkie was.

There are people out there living their lives completely oblivious to the fact that silkies exist and that hurts my little chicken lover heart.

As most are aware my little sister Sammie is in 4h. She shows 2-3 goats every show just about. She does not have a trailer to transport them to shows. That means my mama Owner Amber is having to pay $175 per day to rent a trailer for each show. This month there is 3 shows. If I’m not mistaken 1 is 2 days long. As everyone knows my mama is disabled so she doesn’t have much income. So you can see what position that puts her in renting trailers multiple times a month. I have blocked a few people from seeing this post. My goal is to get enough funds to surprise my sister with a trailer, and relieve my mama of those expenses. Times are hard especially with extra expenses!

Anyone else start a vegetable garden simply because they want to grow things? Not because they eat them.

My husband and kids will eat a lot of the vegetables that we grow but I’m extremely picky and have aversions to certain textures and consistencies so things like peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes are out for me when it comes to consumption. I just really enjoy growing them.
