We’re looking for a part-time team member to join us at Salty Herd in Kittery, Maine.

Salty Herd is a coastal alpaca goods shop focused on cozy, high-quality clothing and home goods inspired by Maine living, natural fibers, and slow everyday comfort. We’re looking for someone warm, reliable, and genuinely excited about helping people find pieces they’ll love wearing.

✨ Position Details:
• Part-time: 15–20 hours per week, $20 per hour
• Weekend availability required
• Retail/customer service experience is a plus, but personality and work ethic matter most
• Must be comfortable working in a small, fast-moving boutique environment

• Friendly and welcoming with customers
• Organized and dependable
• Comfortable working independently
• Interested in clothing, lifestyle retail, and natural fibers
• Someone who enjoys being part of a thoughtful, community-focused small business
✨ Responsibilities:
• Helping customers on the sales floor
• Restocking and organizing merchandise
• Assisting with visual displays
• Opening/closing tasks
• Keeping the shop clean, cozy, and inviting

Today was herd health day. The alpacas each get an injection and the once over which they don’t love! To make it up to them we opened another pasture for them to graze. The hens just because they are so funny basking in the sun.
