🍂 BEHIND THE BOTTLE: LAMBRUSCO🍁

Crunchy leaves. Fire pits. Sweater weather. A bottle of something red and bubbly shared around the table.

Tell us a better fall wine than Lambrusco. We’ll wait. 🍷🍂

New to our fall menu this week: Lini 910 “Labrusca” Lambrusco Rosso — a dry, sparkling red from Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Forget everything you think you know about Lambrusco. This one is dry, bright and ridiculously food-friendly, with juicy dark berries, fresh acidity and that perfect little fizz that keeps you coming back for another sip.

Lambrusco comes from a family of native Italian grapes and has been made in Emilia-Romagna for generations — a region where wine is very much intended to live alongside the food, the people and the conversation.

And honestly? That’s exactly how we think wine should be enjoyed.

🍇 Lambrusco
🇮🇹 Emilia-Romagna, Italy
🫧 Sparkling + dry
🍒 Dark cherry • blackberry • bright acidity • refreshing fizz

P.S. We’re expanding the patio and adding fire pits 🔥🍷 because those cool, crisp Kittery Foreside evenings are way too good not to enjoy with a glass of wine in hand. 🍂

Rosé season isn’t over until the flowers say so. 🌸🍷
Librandi Rosato in the glass, late-summer blooms on the table, and absolutely no interest in rushing into fall.

🐪 GET OVER IT 🐫

The hump, we mean.

Olive Oil Flight + Beach Pea Focaccia + Sparkling Vouvray.

$24 | Wednesday | 4–9PM

Because getting through the rest of the workweek without carbs and bubbles seems unnecessarily ambitious.

🥂 BEHIND THE BOTTLE 🍾
Domaine des Aubuisières Vouvray Brut

Looks like Champagne. Made like Champagne. But this little bottle has its own thing going on.

Welcome to Vouvray, a tiny corner of France's Loire Valley where Chenin Blanc is king.

Unlike Champagne, which is typically made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and/or Meunier, this bottle is 100% Chenin Blanc — giving it beautiful acidity with a little more apple + orchard fruit character.

And the bubbles? They're the real deal.

Aubuisières uses the traditional method, meaning the second fermentation happens right inside the bottle. It then spends 18 months aging on the lees, developing those fine bubbles, creamy texture + subtle brioche notes we love in serious sparkling wine.

The result is crisp and elegant, but with enough fruit and texture to be an incredible food wine.

Think fresh apple + orchard fruit + brioche + bright acidity + tiny bubbles.

Basically: Champagne isn't the only French region that knows its way around a bottle of bubbles. 🥂

Currently pouring by the glass at Kittery Wine Bar.

If you like Champagne but also like paying rent.
