Welp... milk testing tonight was a bust. Neither milking system walked to work properly. Was able to get one system to work with manual pulsating, one teat at a time and got 3 gallons from the ladies to use for the bottle babies.
Did get the rest of the keeper doelings pulled (along with 2 sold girls) and started on bottles tonight, it was a fight but I'm sure they will get the idea come morning.
Tomorrow we get to tear the systems apart and see what the F is wrong with them, and if we can get them working properly, will try testing again next weekend.

Thumbelina is starting to get along with her bottle sisters, and quickly figured out the bottle bar. She will continue going to work with me for a lunch meal until she can eat a full bottle like the other girls and get shifted to twice a day.
Tho I think the ladies at work might miss her...

With kidding season over, here's the final wrap up.

One boy has a temporary home, all others will be available after weaning. If you're interested in a buck prospect there are a few i would consider.
At this time 14 of the doelings will be staying here till they are yearlings, and 2 already have a home lined up, but that leaves 13 lovely ladies available.

As always, I offer discounts for our youth, and for the purchase of multiple goats.

Multiple bloodlines available and I could easily set up a starter herd for those interested.

First milk test of the season will be in about 2.5 weeks, at that time I hope to have good udder pics for all the does. And I will be making some herd cuts. There are a few ladies already on the list, but more will likely be added.

To top off a long tiring day... come home to a week old boy with a likely broken leg. My guess is someone stepped on him. Will take him to work tomorrow and x-ray the leg.

Anyone looking for a little wether prospect that will likely need to be in a splint for a while.
