NEW Young Sire and a Great NEW Photo -

A candidate to advance the legacy of the very popular ORIgen sire Cherry Crk Blue Collar whose sons topped the 2024 and 2025 Baldridge Bull sales at $70,000 and $80,000 for 2/3 interest of each with two daughters of Blue Collar featured as the Lot 1 females of the 2025 and 2026 Baldridge Female sales, Golden Hercules sold 2/3 interest for $50,000 to establish a new record for Bob and Kathleen Buchanan’s Algoma program.

As his dam’s first calf, Golden Hercules combined an actual birth weight of 73 lbs with a weaning ratio of 113 and a yearling ratio of 111 with %IMF ratio of 147 and a URE ratio of 106 and his dam weighed 1,335 lbs as she weaned him in August of 2025 at 225 days of age.

Dam is a daughter of the highly respected female sire Basin Safe Deposit and his grandam is the result of mating the Pathfinder Sire Double Vision to a Buchanan foundation female from the mating of the Pathfinder sire TC Aberdeen, a top son of Bextor, to a Buchanan Pathfinder Dam to give Golden Hercules a bright future as a female sire along with his double digit Calving Ease Direct EPD and elite Weaning Weight EPD and Yearling Weight EPD values.

Lot 10, Registration #21377999, who will sell in the Buchanan Angus Annual Bull and Heifer Sale on Sunday, February 22nd, 2026 continues to do everything RIGHT. His Yearling adjusted scrotal circumference is 41.25 cm. Ultrasound showed him to ratio 147 for %Imf, 106 for RE and 92 for Rib fat. He just continues to check all of the “boxes” as an elite prospect. According to Rod Wesselman he is better in person than in this photo. He could be the most complete genetic package to be found.
