My family and I took time off to rest and make a few changes to the restaurant to serve you all better. We will be back open on Tuesday, January 6. See you soon!

We are switching providers, so our BentoBox online ordering will be unavailable periodically for website maintenance until next month. Unfortunately, this change means we'll lose all customer reward progress in the loyalty program. Since we can't transfer customer data, please use your codes before November 11 if you're close to unlocking a discount or have an active coupon. Due to increased card processing fees, third-party rates, and the cost of goods, we'll only offer cash discounts on all orders from now on. Our store will remain on DoorDash, UberEATS, and GrubHub for the foreseeable future. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday to this legend, my father, Sam.

Today we celebrate not just another year of life, but a lifetime of love, hard work, and dedication. For over 30 years, my dad has poured his heart and soul into the food service industry working various positions and jobs. He’s not only the best Thai chef I know—he’s also a top-tier sushi chef, a mentor, and a true family man.

As some of you may not know, my family owned a restaurant called Jai Dee Thai & Japanese Cuisine near the University of Tennessee for ~10 years from 2012 - 2022 (no relations to the current one). Every dish served carries his original recipes, his expertise, and his passion. Past and present coworkers will tell you : working with Sam meant learning from the best—and being treated with generosity, respect, and free food. Without him, Jai Dee and Thai Time wouldn’t have existed at all.

As time goes on, I want to make sure he knows how deeply he’s appreciated. We're all so busy with our lives and caught up with so many things and the next thing you know your dad is getting so old. I just want to make him proud and do things right with Thai Time while we still have time.

We love you, Dad. Thank you for everything. Happy Father's Day and shout out to all the men out there taking care of their family.

I normally let trivial things slide, and I can't believe I have to address this, but this has gotten so ridiculous.

Today, a employee/contractor walked inside and headed straight to the bathroom without saying a word. We usually don't let non-customers use our bathroom except in certain situations, but since they've been working in the hot Sun all afternoon it couldn't hurt. Well big mistake, not only did this man blow up the toilet, but also SMOKED A CIGARETTE IN OUR BATHROOM!! Have you lost your damn mind?! He denied it when we confronted him yet he left the ashes in our mop bucket. What a genius. It stunk up the whole store of course.

For the past 3 years a lot of random people have stopped by our place just to use the bathroom. This is a very common occurrence and I have to ask: why us??? There are so many other restrooms all along Chapman Highway! And signs are posted right out front! Some even get angry when we don't let them use a PRIVATE BUSINESS'S RESTROOM. Disgusting, childish behavior taking advantage of our kindness. I won't put up with it anymore. Customers only means paying customers only.

We filed a complaint, but I know KUB won't do anything so I have to resort to public shaming. End rant.

Hey folks, just a quick announcement about this week:

We're still dealing with an ongoing situation in the kitchen so we have to put every order into take-out containers until further notice. Hopefully we can go back to normal operations by end of next week.

Also, we'll be closed this Saturday, May 17 for my sister's graduation. This is an important occasion for my family so I hope y'all understand.

And, as some of you may have already noticed, we're teaming up with an old friend of the store to increase our online presence and social media engagements since I never have time to post anything.

Lastly, be on the lookout for some refreshing summer drink/dessert that'll be available in the coming days!
