šŸŽ¶ Oh, the weather out here is delightful! šŸŽµ After the rain stopped earlier today, it turned into a beautiful, sunny day. Weather got up to about 68*- so much nicer than the 8 degrees in Oregon.

I walked outside tonight just after midnight, and was reminded of why I love Knoxville, Tennessee, and the Rockinā€™ N Ranch. The almost full moon was right above me, and the starts were shining so bright!
We looked at at lot of houses, but this one has the best view. This is such my happy place.
Hope everyone has the best 2023 ever! šŸ„³

Does anyone have suggestions for someone to mow the grass? Itā€™s getting super tall, and Iā€™ve started to airbnb the farm. It looks bad, and apparently the mower isnā€™t working.ā€¦

Well dang. There was a crazy wind storm last night that did some damage to the property. It took out my favorite tree in the front yard, along with a couple other trees and fencing, and blew pieces of roof off the barn.
Wish I was there to deal with it.

Anyone have the right equipment to get the trees hauled off?

The joys of having a farm!!
Our hens are finally laying eggs. One of our hens, Dumplin, turned out to be a very loud rooster (which weā€™re not super happy about). We may be having fresh chicken and dumplings sooner than anticipated.
The garden is starting to produce. Weā€™ve got a bunch of veggies and a couple watermelons. I think we planted about 70 Too many tomato plants so if anyone has tips on canning, Iā€™ll gladly take them.
I canā€™t seem to keep up with the weeding. Itā€™s never ending. But the flowers are blooming; tons of wild berries, bees, and birds to enjoy. When itā€™s not 95 degrees, itā€™s quite beautiful to sit on the porch and take in all beauty. Then we have lots of water days when itā€™s get unbearable. Lol

Itā€™s almost the weekend!! So itā€™s almost party time!! Let us know if youā€™re planning on attending. Friday night we have the Bungle Os and Saturday is Akita Funk. The bands will play from 7-10:30. Itā€™s going to be a great time! See ya there!
