Our first batch of grow outs are looking so good. This batch had a couple of different roo mixes from Icelandic , Hmong , black cooper Marans and a barred Maran. Towards the end of summer everyone will be outside as a whole flock.
I’m already counting down til my pullets will lay to see what egg colors we will get next.
We still have 26 baby chicks almost ready to join them also.

Sunny days always bring the chicks to the yard (40% of my chicken math is right). We hatched 30 here at the farm with a few surprises. My Black Copper Maran Frankie's last hatchlings before going to the big farm in the sky. A few I think will look just like him, so hopefully, I can keep his sweet temperament in my flock. This batch is a mix of all my roosters I had over winter:

Black Copper Maran, Hmong, Icelandic, Cuckoo Maran. I'm really excited to see what they all will look like in a few months, so stay tuned. As always, message us anytime about hatching eggs, chicks, hens, or roosters.

The Easter bunny is getting ready for tonight’s big arrival so of course we laid out eggs for him to use for the big Easter egg hunt in the morning 🥳🥚
