This home will utilize rainwater for 100% of its water needs. Storage is located in the basement as shown here. This can be a great solution when building on a mountain top. We set the tanks early on and will come back to complete the install after gutters and downspouts are installed. Tanks will overflow through an outlet pipe in the foundation wall. A couple of rainwater harvesting projects in Nashville from last week! The project using the white tanks will utilize rainwater for irrigation purposes. Each tank is 10,000-gallons and will be fully buried. The blue tanks project will use their rainwater as the primary potable water source in the home. These tanks will be fully buried as well.
