We are voting for Kim Frazier for County Mayor. Here's what Kevin has to say about her.

Washington Pike, running THROUGH Murphy Springs Farm, is the key to developing the 500 acres just past the jail that are owned by Smithbilt (donors to Larsen Jay's campaign). I spoke with Larsen at a community meeting meeting recently, and it is clear to me that his attitude is "we should be implementing the [comprehensive land use plan]". The "Plan" identifies a big Neighborhood Mixed Use development on that Smithbilt land, and I feel that Larsen will be very receptive to proposals to make that happen. And he'll be very aggressive in finding a way to get funding to widen and improve Washington Pike through the farm, literally paving the way for a big Smithbilt development in Ritta and Corryton.

Betsy Henderson might be promising no tax increases and 'responsible growth', but I have NEVER seen her at any community meetings, planning commission meetings, or county commission zoning meetings, or farming events.

The mayor's race is really important for Corryton, Gibbs, Ritta, and northeast Knox County. The mayor appoints half of the Planning Commission, proposes the funding level for the planning department, is the head of government that includes the stormwater and engineering and road departments, and has outsized influence on county commissioners, planning commissioners, and development. You better believe this race matters.

Kim Frazier has been out here working with us and for us. There's only one mayoral candidate who is actively going to have our back.

The placement of these signs says a lot about the candidates and their support. Larsen Jay is heavily supported by the developers - you see some former farm land being cleared and it’s probably got Larsen’s sign in front of it. Kim Frazier has tremendous support in the farming and ranching community and with those who care about having some rural, undeveloped land left in the county. It’s a really clear choice. Vote for Elect Kim Frazier for Knox County Mayor in the Republican Primary on May 5th

Had a report that two loose pigs were crossing the railroad tracks near the Dollar General today. They aren’t ours; if they belong to any of you neighbors, they were seen here recently.
