We’re hiring a Grow Technician in Kodiak! 🌱 (Part-time, 24–30 hrs/wk)
BrightBox Farms (operated by Kadiak Farms, LLC) & Mal’uk Farms—community-focused hydroponic container farms owned by the Native Village of Afognak—are growing! Help us produce year-round lettuce, salad mixes, microgreens, herbs, and leafy greens for our community.

What you’ll do: Seed → transplant → harvest → package → deliver; follow planting schedules; monitor nutrients & plant health; keep systems/facility clean; provide friendly customer service.

You are: Reliable, detail-oriented, positive communicator; comfortable with hands-on work (lift 50 lb); can troubleshoot basic equipment. Agriculture/horticulture interest or experience is a plus. Driver’s license preferred.
Pay: $15–$19/hr. Consistent weekly schedule + a couple weekend hours; flexibility available.
Preference given to qualified NVA Tribal Members or descendants.

Soak up the sun this week with a salad made with our local greens, microgreens and herbs 🌿

You’ll need:
Chopped Kale
Microgreens
Cooked & chopped chicken or other protein of choice
And ingredients below

Make pesto in a or other blender or a food processor with:
➡️Parsley
➡️Olive oil
➡️Lemon juice
➡️Walnuts or pecans or almonds or cashews (pretty much any nut you like)
➡️Salt/pepper
➡️Romano cheese optional
➡️Garlic optional
(Adjust amounts to your flavor preference)

Mix pesto and protein in a bowl, toss in kale and microgreens.

Serve and enjoy!
