It’s been a little quiet around here this summer, so I thought it was time for a Pine & Posey update. 💙

First, thank you for continuing to follow along, even when we’re not posting every week. Sometimes the busiest seasons leave the least amount of time for social media.

This spring was a fun one! We loved sharing our tulips through online orders and seeing so many familiar faces at the Kokomo Farmers Market. Those few weeks reminded us how much we enjoy bringing a little beauty into your homes.

If you were hoping for pumpkins this fall… well… let’s just say family farming keeps us humble. 😄

We had every intention of planting a pumpkin patch, but somewhere between me trying to convince Dad to let me have a little more acreage and our family communication, the field ended up getting treated as another corn field. Fertilizer was spread, herbicide was sprayed, and before long… it was corn instead of pumpkins. We’ll call it a learning experience—and maybe next year I’ll make my field markers a little harder to miss!

Even without pumpkins, this slower season has been such a gift.

We’ve spent countless hours with our three kids working on 4-H projects, caring for livestock, cheering them on in the show ring, baseball games and now football practice, VBS, mowing and caring for our Christmas trees, keeping up with the garden, canning and freezing vegetables, and simply soaking up summer before another school year begins. It’s been full in all the best ways. I grew zinnias this year in my own backyard for pleasure and I’ve enjoyed fresh weekly bouquets on my own table again…it reminds me how much joy they bring and why we started this journey!

Behind the scenes, we’re still working hard on the farm. The Christmas trees continue to grow, and this summer has been filled with mowing, w**d management, and getting an old crop field established into healthy grass strips between the tree rows. Converting row-crop ground into a Christmas tree farm has definitely been a learning process, but every season teaches us something new. While we won’t be opening the tree farm this year, we’re hopeful that 2027 will be the year we can finally welcome you out to choose your own tree.

And yes… I’ve already ordered tulip bulbs for next spring! 🌷

Our May flowers are definitely coming back. We’re still deciding what that season will look like, but one way or another, you’ll be seeing plenty of tulips from Pine & Posey next spring.

We’re also planning a refresh of our website and have a few new ideas we’re excited to share as we continue growing this little dream.

From our family to yours, THANK YOU for your patience, encouragement, and support through every successful season—and every season that doesn’t quite go according to plan. We truly appreciate each of you for being part of this journey.

How has your summer been? We’d love to hear what you’ve been up to before everyone heads back to school!

Pink peonies have arrived! 💗

This bouquet was a mixed vase arrangement that went out the door earlier this week but the pink stems are show stoppers. These are always the last to bloom on the farm but so worth the wait.

Peony season is quick and they won’t be here but for a couple more weeks as we hold them in our cooler.

Plan to grab a bouquet Saturday at the Kokomo Farmers Market! Or order a pickup or delivery from our website 💐

Did you know peonies are our official state flower? I can see why!

They are beautiful this time of year and we will have bouquets filled with them this Saturday at the Kokomo Farmers Market.

Mother’s Day week always leaves me feeling incredibly grateful. 💐

To every person who ordered flowers, shared a post, stopped by, told a friend, or supported our little family flower farm in any way — thank you. Truly. Your support means more than you know.

What started as a small dream has grown because of this community, and I never take that for granted. Watching these flowers head out to celebrate moms, grandmas, and loved ones this weekend was such an honor.

Thank you for supporting local, supporting our family, and allowing me to do something I love. 🌸
