PSA: If you are having a party or memorial for someone, please, please DO NOT release these Mylar balloons into the air to watch them dance off into the sky never to be seen again….. because THIS is where they all inevitably end up…out in the country, in some rancher’s pasture. Thankfully this one was behind one of my hot fences; if not, it could have wound up in a calf / cow / bull’s mouth and then I’d be looking at a dead animal. Please enjoy your balloons, but keep them on the ground!

We would like to thank an old friend, Blake Crawford and his family from Roff, Oklahoma for their purchase of Circle H 3244. Blake’s father, Mr. Steven Crawford, gave me my first teaching job what seems like a million years ago at Byng High School. Mr. Crawford was one of the bigger influences on my career; when we lost him, we lost a giant of the education world here in Oklahoma and a great, great man as well.

3244’s running mate is still available, Circle H 3544. He is out of one of our Foundation Herd females, L, 3267 and our herd sire, Big Poppa - Rocky Creek 9335. He’s registered (papers in hand, C 1181753) been put through all his paces, has been scanned, semen tested and is ready for a group of girls of how own. He’ll be 2 in late March. I’ll post his picture in the comments. Any interest, give me a holler anytime.

God is good, all the time! I emptied MeMa Fisher’s rain gauge after the first rain back on Friday with an inch of rain in it. This makes right at 7 inches of rain in less than a week! 😳 🤣👍🏻✌🏻

To all the fathers out there, from us here at the ranch on this glorious Father’s Day the Lord has made, we all hope you’ve had a good one! Happy Father’s Day! A few more of the babes from Bunk’s , aka L, 4283, pasture . First 2 are L, 4051 (cow in 2nd pic) and her keeper heifer calf, Circle H 4351 (same calf in first 2 pics). The next black heifer is a first calf heifer that I’m not 100% sure on her # (I have 2 black heifers that are identical, out of our old L, 5639 herd sire Blackie) with her heifer calf. And we round out with 2 more L, 4283 heifer babies that’ll get to stay here on the ranch.
