Hardin County Youth Project Show is currently underway this week at Hardin County Forestry & Agricultural Youth Association/John Blair Pavilion. If you get a chance come out and support the local youth showing their animals, and come out to the auction this Saturday October 10th to help support those who make auction with their animals and their exhibit hall projects.

Our oldest Weston entered HCYPS like he has every year since joining 4-H he turned in two exhibit hall entries. One entry always being a baked good because Weston loves to bake. Well this year he changed up from his normal pies and jam, and tried his hand at bread. He asked our neighbor to use her Chocolate Chip Walnut Banana Bread recipe and he won Grand Champion in Breads this year! He will be making a fresh loaf for the Live Auction this Saturday October 10th. If you would like to support him and bid on his bead or anyone else’s projects Buyer Check-In & Auction Dinner is 5:00-6:30 PM. The Auction Begins at 6:30 PM.

We’ve had a lot of interest in our horse back riding lessons earlier this year. We have a few new dates available currently for lessons Wednesday evenings in September. October we have Wednesdays available in the evening, and Sundays late afternoon. If your child homeschools or you have the availability to come earlier in the day, I can do other weekdays. Just not Saturdays cause of football.

We offering western riding lessons for all ages 5 and up! Yes adults too!
These are beginner lessons for those wanting to learn to ride and for those who want to continue on with weekly riding. We will work on basic horsemanship skills as well as how to properly care and get your horse ready for riding.

We also do offer lessons for more intermediate riders with the opportunity to use horses in playdays/jackpots we will be at.

We have dates available on our booking link. We are available for weekday lessons at different times so if
you are wanting to see if a certain date or time is available please message us so we can see what we have available and can make work for you.

This past Saturday I tried my hand at a little bit different livestock photography than I normally do. We had the privilege to take photos at Hardin County Forestry & Agricultural Youth Association/John Blair Pavilion for their Big Top Bash! It was a lot of fun to try and capture these photos. Swine was definitely a challenge but something we can’t wait to try again. 🎪🐑🐖🐐
