There’s nothing like some marigolds to brighten up your day! Our field is bursting with an abundance of blooms and our harvesting hands are happily tinted orange.

Marigolds are a staple for us at the farm, forming part of the base of our seasonal mixes, tossed into our confetti, and also filling out our single-variety marigold containers. Versatile and with a remarkably long shelf-life post-harvest, marigolds have been a bestseller for us from the beginning. This familiar garden bloom makes an easy-to-use whole flower garnish, and a little sprinkle of petals is sure to add some sunshine to your plate ☀️

All eyes on verbena! You might have already spotted this newcomer in our seasonal mix if you’ve picked up a container these past few weeks. We’re always researching new edible flower varieties to introduce at the farm, and verbena is the latest to pass its trial stage with flying colors.

Verbena’s hearty, circular bloom clusters facilitate hand harvesting and assembly, and its scalloped edges add a playful touch to the plate. We see great potential for verbena as a core element in our mixes going forward!

We’re excited to have lots of baby verbena coming up in the seedling house so we can soon bring this standout variety into full production 🌸
