Our Story
It all started on one of our first dates, when Popie confessed his love of dive bars and chic
ken wings to Oma, and it turned into a cross country search to find the best wings and sauces in the USA. During our travels we chomped on hundreds of wings across the states, but were disappointed to find that though the sauce names were different, they all tasted the same. We moved back to Idahome and decided to hit the kitchen and come up with a sauce like no other! Our grandkids inspired the name Oma & Popie's, and we've enjoyed coming up with creative recipes for our seasoning sauces and spice blends with them here in Idaho. Our products show our zest for life and shared adventures; try them all, you won't be disappointed. All our sauces start with a blend of White and Apple Cider vinegar; de Arbol Chile powder and Guajillo chile peppers (pronounced “wha hee oh”) with a flavor profile that is slightly fruity with sweet heat, hints of pine, tart berries, and light smoky undertones. No tomatoes are use in the processing of our sauce.
Our spices are sourced from certified producers with raw materials that meet extremely rigorous standards for sourcing & manufacturing to provide the freshest, purest premium product available. While some other seasoning brands contain up to 90% salt, our blends average only 30%—the rest of the flavors come from dried herbs and spices PACKED with tons of flavor with slight heat. Whether you are saucy or spicy, we have flavor profile for you!
