An additional 2,645 acres on 31 farms have been permanently preserved across 20 counties which keeps this land in agriculture and safe from development.

Here’s where we stand today:
• 665,585 protected acres
• 6,704 preserved farms
• Across 58 counties

Newly preserved farms can be found in:
Berks, Bucks, Butler, Carbon, Chester, Cumberland, Franklin, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lehigh, Luzerne, Mercer, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Washington, Westmoreland, and York counties.

Pennsylvania remains a national leader in farmland preservation—supporting farmers, strengthening local food systems, and safeguarding open space for future generations.

Tis’ the season of tractors on the roads. Slow down, give them space & let them do their job. They’ve got wives, children and families to come home too. Some even have their families in the cab with them.
