Picked up the newest addition to the farm, no one guessed it because not many people know about this species. This is a Patagonian Mara and they are the fifth largest species of rodent after Capybara, Beavers, and Porcupines! They are native to the open grasslands and shrublands of Argentina and kind of look like a cross between a rabbit and a small deer. Excited to have this new baby boy. What would be a good name?

Well my annual cross country trip is coming up fast. I call it my Call Haul trip because I always come back with a car full of Call ducks lol. Last year I came home with Call ducks, Mandarin ducks, and my two Rheas but I'm getting excited. I always have to visit Pamela Atkinson Sebo for some of her birds, but this year I'm super excited to be meeting a couple new Call Duck friends, Cathy Martin Waller & Chandra Fiore. Especially excited to be adding some of their beautiful call ducks to my lines! Here is a picture of what I'm going to look like driving back home from Illinois.
