People: ā€œYou work too much. You need to take a break.ā€

Me: looks at the full-time job, the goats, the chickens, the endless farm projects, the feed bins, the fences, and the never-ending to-do list.

Maybe next week.

Farm life isn’t just a hobby—it’s a lifestyle. The animals still need care before work, after work, on weekends, holidays, and every day in between. It’s exhausting, chaotic, and sometimes overwhelming… but it’s also the life we chose and love.

So if I don’t make it to every invitation, just know I’m probably somewhere covered in feed, dirt, or goat hair. šŸ˜‚šŸā¤ļø

Kidding season may be over, but the hunt is far from finished. 🌈🄚

Now we’re chasing a different kind of color around the farm—the perfect rainbow basket of eggs! Every new layer adds another shade to the collection, and there’s nothing quite like gathering a basket filled with blues, greens, chocolates, creams, and speckles.

It’s funny how something as simple as collecting eggs can still feel like a treasure hunt every single day. ā¤ļøšŸ”

When mom ignores you because she’s trying to eat, the only solution… dramatically throwing yourself on the ground. Don’t worry Sister still didn’t pay any attention to her after her temper tantrum.

Every kidding season has a first baby and a last baby. Sometimes the last ones make sure they’re remembered.

These two sweet girls arrived yesterday and officially wrapped up our 2026 kidding season. What a way to finish! Their beautiful colors, healthy starts, and playful personalities already have us excited for their future.

Another season is in the books, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful for every doe, every kid, and every lesson along the way. ā¤ļøšŸ

Welcome to the world, girls…

And just like that, 2026 kidding season is officially over.

We thought we’d seen all all the colors this year… then today happened. šŸ˜…

To say we ended the season with a bang is an understatement. Stay tuned for pictures tomorrow—this finale didn’t disappoint! šŸšŸŽ‰

The babies are weaned and the girls are officially on vacation 🌿🐐

No kids to raise, no babies on board… just a few months of roaming, grazing, and enjoying the good life before breeding season comes back around. šŸ¤Žā˜€ļø
