Back in 2008 a group of friends got together for a weekend of wine tasting (and buying) in the Chelan Valley. Amongst that group of friends was one individual whom over the weekend developed a dream to become a winemaker. Over the course of the next few months that individual read books and talked to others who made wine. That fall our winemaker produced his first wines in his garage. From that hu
mble beginning Skagit Cellars has developed into an award-winning boutique winery. While our Winemaker was still making wine in his garage, he was also sharing his creations with friends and family friend the given name at the time was Garage Wine which was fun and entertaining it didn’t reflect the quality of the wine. Since the “Garage” was located in the Skagit Valley the official name was changed to Skagit Cellars to reflect the first location of production. We are proud to say that every vintage that has been produced by Skagit Cellars has been an award-winning wine. With that said some of our signature wines are Viognier, Syrah, Barbera and Malbec. The majority of our fruit, 81% in fact, comes from the Lake Chelan AVA. We believe that some of the finest fruit in the state come from right here in the Chelan Valley. We opened our LaConner tasting room in 2014. This page is for our Manson tasting room. We opened our Manson tasting room in 2018 and moved to our current location at 67 Wapato way in September of 2020. Come sit, visit, sip and enjoy!
