At King Acres we enjoy raising quality Herefords! We also have farm fresh eggs & are continuing to grow the farm!

Private Treaty is a priority so we can ensure our cattle go to great farms & customers know they are getting a healthy, well raised animal!

We weaned our sons show calves last weekend and the rest of the calves will be getting weaned soon!!!

We will have some calves that would make good 4-H steers for next year!

I know I haven’t been on it like I normally am with calf pictures (new human baby takes priority) but we have come to the end of the calving season and it was a successful one!

This year we plan to hold back our heifers and will have a handful of bull calves for sale!

A rancher's calving prayer.

Dear Lord
We are thankful for another season of new life, may we never loose our awe of the miracle of birth.
Thank you Lord for making us herdsmen. We pray we are half as good as you.
May the chains stay dry & the pullers never used.
We pray the mommas will nurture as you designed & every calf will nurse. If we need to intervene, please guide us as to the timing & the need.
Lord, we are blessed to lead this life & know that when help is needed, our good neighbors will be right there!
Whether beef or seed we pray each will do their part to nourish man.

In Jesus name, Amen!

2026 Calving season has started!! 😍

Started with the little heifer calf that was born this past Thursday morning!

Then a little bull calf born Sunday morning!

There's a profound sense of fulfillment that comes from raising animals with care and respect. Whether it's a steer, pigs, or chickens, these creatures depend on us for their well-being, and in return, they provide us with countless meals through the year, products that you can make for skin care and a deeper appreciation for the cycle of life. By embracing this way of life, we can cultivate a greater sense of empathy, responsibility, and gratitude.
Something thats hard for others to understand unless they have lived it. And this can give people the wrong idea about farmers or ranchers.

While yes, some are in it for the money, and production. A lot of us are here for the love of the life style.
I know for my family and I being able to sit down to a meal or even put a lotion on our body knowing it is coming from a place of love and respect is important.

As we continue to grow, we only want to share that with others!
