🤎🐮 Life lessons look a little different when they come with horns, fluffy hair, and muddy boots.
Raising Highland calves is about so much more than having beautiful cattle in the pasture. Around here, they’re part of the education.
Our Highlands teach patience when trust takes time. They teach responsibility when feeding and chores still have to be done—rain or shine. They teach gentleness when you’re working with a young calf learning to trust you, and they teach respect for livestock, the land, and the generations of farmers who came before us.
There’s a lot to learn standing beside a Highland calf—how to read their behavior, understand their needs, care for their health, and recognize that good stockmanship starts with patience and consistency.
📚 Some lessons come from books.
🌾 Some come from the pasture.
🐮 And some come wrapped in a fluffy Highland coat.
We’re proud to raise Highland cattle, but we’re even more proud of the opportunity they give us to teach the next generation about agriculture, responsibility, compassion, and hard work.
Because when kids grow up around livestock, we’re not just raising cattle—we’re raising capable little humans who understand what it means to care for something bigger than themselves. 🤎
