🚨 NEW GOAT ALERT 🚨
Everyone, meet Hidden Valley Ranch… affectionately known around here as Dippy. 🐐✨

Now, with a government name like Hidden Valley Ranch, you’d expect a little spice. Maybe some chaos. Perhaps a dramatic personality.

Nope.

Dippy showed up and immediately chose kindness.

She is hands down one of the sweetest and quietest goats we’ve ever met. No screaming. No drama. No questionable life choices. Just soft little bleats, gentle snuggles, and those big beautiful eyes that make you forgive her for absolutely anything.

And can we talk about how gorgeous she is?! This girl is farm-model material. She knows her angles and somehow manages to look elegant even while eating hay.

But her most iconic feature? That epic lady beard. Honestly, it deserves its own zip code. It flows majestically in the breeze and gives her the distinguished look of a wise mountain goat philosopher. We fully expect woodland creatures to seek her advice.

It didn’t take long before Dippy quietly worked her way right into our hearts and became an absolute favorite around here. (Don’t tell the others—we’d like to keep the peace in the goat barn. 🤫)

Welcome to Hidden Hilltop, Dippy. We have a feeling you’re going to be very spoiled here. ❤️🐐

🚨 FARM GOSSIP ALERT 🚨

We can neither confirm nor deny that the goats have been conducting daily inspections of the Airbnb… mostly by sticking their noses where they don’t belong.

After months of hard work, questionable DIY decisions, more trips to the hardware store than we care to admit, and several unauthorized animal supervisors, our Hidden Hilltop Farm Stay is finally entering its final chapter. 🐐✨

We’re putting on the finishing touches, fluffing pillows, hanging décor, and making sure everything is ready for future guests to experience life on the farm.

For now, here’s a little sneak peek of “The Herd House at Hidden Hilltop Family Farm!👀

Soon you’ll be able to wake up to mountain views, sip coffee while listening to the sounds of the farm, meet our quirky crew of goats, chickens, cats, and maybe even catch some farm gossip from Susan Pork Chop herself.

We aren’t quite ready to open the barn doors just yet… but trust us when we say:

The wait is almost over.

Also, stay tuned for special discounts and giveaways for our first few bookings!

🥚 Fresh Eggs Available from the Ladies of Hidden Hilltop Retirement Home 🥚

$5 per dozen.

The residents of Hidden Hilltop Retirement Home have been especially productive lately and have graciously agreed to share some of their eggs with the public.

Geraldine still runs the neighborhood watch.

Edna knows everyone’s business and isn’t afraid to share it.

Gladys spends most of her day yelling at clouds.

Betty is sweet as pie… until snacks are involved.

Rose is everybody’s grandma and somehow always knows when you’re having a bad day.

Reba firmly believes she’s in charge of the entire farm.

Edith moves at her own pace and refuses to be rushed.

And Earlene? Well, Earlene has requested to speak with management on three separate occasions this week.

Despite frequent complaints about the weather, feed quality, and “kids these days,” the ladies continue producing beautiful farm-fresh eggs for your breakfast table.

🚜🐐 Calling All Goat Fence Volunteers! 🐐🚜

We’ve got a pasture that needs fencing so our spoiled little lawn ornaments—I mean goats—can enjoy even more space to roam.
If you’re local and have ever wanted to spend a day on a farm, learn a little, get dirty, and help build something meaningful, we’d love extra sets of hands this Friday and Saturday.

Fair warning: this is real farm work. There will be lifting, stretching fence, sweating, and probably a few supervisors with hooves judging your technique from the other side of the fence.

What we can offer:🐐 Goat snuggles and entertainment🌄 Beautiful mountain views💪 A good workout you don’t have to pay a gym membership for❤️ The rewarding feeling of helping a small family farm grow
🌮 Also, food

We’re an active-duty military family planting roots here in East Tennessee and building Hidden Hilltop Family Farm one fence post at a time. Every helping hand gets us one step closer to more happy goats, goat milk soap, and future farm experiences for our community.

If you’d be interested in volunteering for a fencing day, drop a comment or send us a message! We’d love to meet more local farm-loving folks.

Farm update: The goats were goating. The chickens were chickening. The to-do list was approximately 14 miles long.

So we did something radical for 2 hours this weekend… absolutely nothing. ☀️

Sometimes running a farm means remembering to take care of the farmers too. Today we took a little “us time” and stretched out in our tiny tanning pools, soaking up some sunshine while staring at these gorgeous mountain views. 🏔️💛

No fences to fix.
No soap to pour.
No escaped livestock (for once).

Just sunshine, fresh mountain air, and a reminder that rest is productive too.

Because you can’t pour from an empty bucket… unless you’re a goat. Then you’ll probably stand in it. 🐐😂

What’s your favorite way to recharge?

Before anyone starts asking questions… yes, we’re letting Cassie make soap. 😬🧼

Yesterday was Cassie’s official crash course in goat milk soap making. After years of hearing me talk about lye, oils, temperatures, and “don’t panic, that’s supposed to happen, and ohhhhh no” she finally got thrown into the deep end of the soap kitchen.

The good news: nobody got covered in soap batter.
The better news: nobody accidentally created a new chemical element.
The best news: the soap actually turned out!

As Hidden Hilltop grows, we’re excited to have more hands helping create the products that started this whole crazy adventure. Every bar is still made in small batches right here on the farm using milk from our spoiled dairy goats and a whole lot of trial, error, and farm shenanigans.

Please join us in congratulating Cassie on surviving Soap School 101. 🎓🐐

Now accepting bets on how long it takes before she starts creating her own soap scents without supervision.

🚨 FARM MERCH IS HERE 🚨

You asked. We enabled the chaos. 🐐✨
The merch is starting to arrive! 🎉🐐

Right now we mostly have our logo merch coming in, including shirts, a cute tote bag, and pens. We are so excited to finally see Hidden Hilltop Family Farm out in the wild.

It may just be the beginning, but every shirt, bag, and little farm-goodie moment makes this dream feel a little more real. We can’t wait to keep adding more fun farm merch as we grow — because obviously the shenanigans need proper branding. 😉

Stay tuned for photos, sizes, and details soon!

Dottie may never qualify as a farm dog, but nothing brings this dog more joy than launching herself down the hill toward the barn at full speed like she’s training for the Kentucky Derby. Ears flapping, legs charging, and absolutely no thoughts behind her eyes except “FASTER.” 🏃‍♀️💨

The farm may not have made her any wiser, but it has made her happier. There’s just something about country life that fits her chaotic little soul. ❤️

Of course, she's still committing crimes involving the slice of pizza we left on the counter, chasing the barn cats, and still wondering how to eat the Pig, but watching her fly down that hill with pure joy makes it impossible to stay mad at her for long.

Enjoy this video of her run, we sure did.

Here’s a little insight into how our farm works right now.

Stacy lives on-site, while I, Cassie, still live in Alabama.

One of the harder parts of being a full-time farm owner without officially being a Tennessee resident is making the trip from Alabama to Tennessee every single month. It’s a challenge I happily face to make our dreams come true.

I’m looking forward to the day when the distance between my home and my barn is less than 5 minutes. Right now, this is one of the limitations we have to work around for the next two years until my husband retires and our move to Tennessee becomes permanent. For now, I’m making peace with the 6-hour drive.

Until then, send me all your prayers, good thoughts, and chill vibes as I trek back and forth between one home and the other.
