Every important thing this farm ever built started exactly like this.

Small. Quiet. A handful of people in a room most of the world doesn't know exists yet.

Last night, jiu-jitsu came back to Warriors Wellness Farm. No crowd. No packed mats. Just a few students, a coach, and an hour of learning the basics the right way. Kids and adults, first principles, good reps, zero awkwardness. Just growth.

And we could dress that up for you. We could make it sound bigger than it was. But this page doesn't do that, and honestly, we don't need to. Because we've seen this exact picture before.

The barn didn't start full. The road to this place didn't exist. The first Warrior Wellness Weekend wasn't a movement, it was an idea and a fire pit. Everything on this land started as a seed that looked too small to matter, planted anyway, and nourished until it wasn't small anymore.

Starting over isn't new for us. It's the thing we're best at. And it always looks like this at the beginning: small, honest, and full of more potential than anyone can see from the outside.

The mats are awake again. The seed is in the ground.

Next session is Saturday at 9 AM. Kids and adults welcome. First class, no experience, plain curiosity all of it belongs here.

Come be part of the part nobody brags about. That's the part that builds everything.

Message the page for details.

Most veterans will tell you everything.

If you love one, you just laughed. Because the veteran in your life tells you nothing. Locks it behind the chest plate. Changes the subject. Goes quiet at the table. Carries it out to the truck alone.

Both are true. And the space between them is where men live or die.

Here's the part almost nobody outside the uniform understands: the book was never locked. It just doesn't open for every reader. Put that same silent man next to the right person, on the right ground, and he'll talk until the fire burns down.

Three things keep the book shut.

The wrong ground keeps the armor on. Nobody unstraps seventy pounds of gear in a crowded restaurant or an office with fluorescent lights. The body has to believe it's safe before the mind will follow, and the body doesn't believe words. It believes environment.

The wrong audience keeps the pages closed. Tell a civilian what you actually saw and one of two things happens: you burden someone you love, or you watch horror cross their face. Most veterans would rather carry it forever than cause either one. So they do.

And courage points the wrong direction. Veterans have courage without limit when the mission is out there. That same courage goes quiet when the mission is unloading what's inside. Nobody trained us for that fight. Nobody even told us it was one.

Now flip all three at the same time.

A veteran walks onto this farm. Sits by the fire with others who served. The conversation starts, and the things that would empty a dinner party don't make anyone here flinch. Nobody gasps. Nobody looks away. Nobody needs it explained. Somewhere in that first hour, his body figures out what his mind hasn't dared to believe: you're in the right place.

The armor comes off. The book opens. And that's when the weekend goes to work. Movement. Breathwork. Training. Real food. Nights under open sky. Every piece multiplies the last. One veteran told us he'd remember his weekend here for the rest of his life. His words, not ours.

That's not a retreat. That's a reset. And it's the reason this farm exists.

The next Warrior Wellness Weekend is the weekend of October 23rd. Veteran seats are sponsored. No veteran pays to attend.

If any of this spoke to you, that wasn't an accident. That was the book asking to open.

Message the page. There's a seat by the fire with your name on it.

And one more thing, because it matters.

Every veteran seat is sponsored. That's not a detail. That's the whole model. A man carrying twenty years of weight should not have to pull out a wallet to set it down. So others carry that cost for him.

If you're part of a veteran organization, a foundation, a business, or you're one person who's been looking for something real to put your support behind, we'd like to talk. Not a pitch. A conversation about what's being built here and how we might serve the same people together.

And if you simply know someone we should know, an organization doing this work, a group that funds it, a person who cares about it, put us in the same room. Sometimes the whole mission moves because one person made one introduction.

Message the page, or share this with the right person.

Ask yourself one question right now: does your mind and body actually agree with you?

You want health. You want peace. You want to stop being the thing standing in your own way. That's the desire. But if your body stays tense when you try to rest, if your mind runs when you tell it to be still, if you've wanted change for years and keep ending up in the same place, then wanting was never the problem.

The agreement is the problem. Your mind and body never signed on to the plan.

So what's the blueprint? What's the map that finally gets all of you moving in the same direction?

Here's what most people miss: the tool is already with you. You've used it thousands of times today without a single conscious thought. Used deliberately, it becomes the way in — access to your own nervous system, the switch that's been stuck in survival mode for years.

Your breath.

Tommy spent years learning how to use it. Not as a relaxation trick. As a discipline that retrains what your body believes is happening, so your mind and body finally start agreeing on where you're headed. The men who've done this work describe clarity they didn't know they were missing, peace where there used to be chaos, and families who noticed the change before they did.

The structure is deliberate: nine weeks, one-on-one, just you and him, building steadiness first. Then you join the weekly group, where what you've built gets practiced and maintained alongside others doing the same work.

And here's what matters if you're reading this from far away: this work travels. Sessions are one-on-one with Tommy, online or in person. Everything this farm was built on — the steadiness, the discipline, the way of coming back to yourself — carried straight to wherever you are. You don't have to stand on this land to do the work of it. The farm comes to you, one breath at a time.

Three spots are open. One-on-one means his time is the limit, and three is what he can hold while giving each person everything.

If you truly desire health, prosperity, and peace, and something in you just recognized itself in this, that's not a coincidence. That's a reason to raise your hand.

One of our own coaches tried to explain what actually happens at these weekends. Listen to what he couldn’t stop talking about.

It wasn’t the training. It wasn’t the food or the fires or the land, though he’ll tell you about all of it.

It was what happened after.

The weekend ended. The brotherhood didn’t. The men from that weekend are still some of his closest friends today. Still talking, still meeting up, months later. His words: that’s what you lose when the uniform comes off, and this is where he watched it get rebuilt.

That’s the part nobody expects. Veterans arrive as strangers carrying things they’ve held for years. Somewhere between the mats, the meals, and the fire, they say those things out loud. No judgment. Nobody making light of it. Just warriors processing it together.

And then it doesn’t end.

The next Warrior Wellness Weekend is October 23rd through the 26th, here at the farm. Veteran seats are sponsored, so no veteran pays to attend. They just get themselves here.

If you’re a veteran and something in this video sounds like what you’ve been missing, message the page.

If you want to put a veteran in one of those seats, message the page too. Sponsors are the only reason these weekends stay free for the men who need them.

Come find your people.

The most dangerous thing most of us carry is a nervous system that never got the order to stand down.

Tommy spent years learning how to give that order. Now he teaches it. One-on-one, nine weeks, then you join the group. That’s the structure, because steadiness gets built before it gets practiced.

Three spots are open. In person or online.

If your body’s been in survival mode so long it feels normal, this work was built for you.

Nobody tells you what actually happens at a jiu-jitsu gym.

They tell you about the fighting. The discipline. The discomfort. How hard the training is. All true, and all missing the point.

Here's what they don't tell you.

They don't tell you about the hour after class, when nobody leaves. When grown adults who just finished training stay on the mats another hour, sometimes two, rolling and laughing and working their craft because nobody's ready to go home yet.

They don't tell you about the parents who become family, the kids cheering each other on, the room full of men and women, veterans and civilians, every background and every walk of life, all of them humble, all of them welcome, all of them there for each other.

And they definitely don't tell you what it does to a heavy mind. One of our own put it plainly: he came to the mats during one of the most stressful stretches of his life. Money pressure, real weight, the kind that follows you everywhere. But every time he stepped on those mats, all of it disappeared. For that hour, there was no room in his head for worry. Just the roll, the laughter, and the conversation after. He'll tell you that's part of what got him through.

That's the part nobody talks about. The fighting is what it looks like.

Community is what it is.

That's what was built in the barn at Warriors Wellness Farm. And it's coming back.

Jiu-jitsu returns September 3rd. Kids and adults.
Thursdays at 6 PM. Sundays at 9 AM.

Some people will come for the martial art. That's a fine reason to walk in the door.

But we know why they'll stay.

For years, there was only one way to reach the part of this farm where veterans now come to heal: the long way around.

The old route wound through the whole property. Past the house, hooking left, working its way down to the barn and the land where everything happens. If you've been coming here a while, you know that drive. Everyone who trained here, attended a Weekend here, or helped build this place took the long way in, every single time.

So Tommy built a road. A direct route, straight off the main road to the heart of the facility. By hand, with equipment, with gravel and dirt donated by people who believed in what was being built down there. That's how everything on this farm got here. Trial and error. Setbacks and restarts. Sponsorships chased down so that veterans never pay out of pocket to attend, except the cost of getting here. None of it came easy and none of it came fast.

The pictures make these weekends look beautiful, and they are. Green fields, water, fishing, big meals, movement, breathwork, fires burning late, conversations that go where they need to go. Real healing happens here.

But don't let the pictures fool you into thinking it was all smooth. This thing has been ups and downs from the first shovel. The reason nobody quit is simple: the purpose underneath it is real. This farm exists to help human beings heal, and to hold the kind of space where that's actually possible. When the foundation is real, you can build through anything.

And now it's time to build the next one.

The next Warrior Wellness Weekend is officially set: the weekend of October 23rd.

If you know a veteran who needs a weekend like this, share this post with them or send it to them directly. If you're connected to an organization that sponsors veterans for experiences that actually change things, put this in front of them.

And if you've been part of this, in any way, we're asking for one thing in the comments: tell us about it. If you attended a Weekend, if you lifted a shovel, if you hauled gravel for that road, if you just stopped by to see how it was going, put it in the comments. Those stories are what this community runs on when times get tough.

October 23rd. There's a straight road to this place now. Come see where it leads.

The kid in the blue gi spent three years being told he wasn’t enough. Not in words. In benches.

He fell in love with football at seven. Played his heart out every season. But some teams reward the wrong things, and for three years he played for coaches who benched effort, rewarded attitude, and taught him that trying harder changes nothing. Watch a kid absorb that lesson year after year and you’ll watch his confidence pack its bags.

His dad watched it happen. And when the off-season came, instead of another camp or another league, he took him somewhere different. A barn on a farm with mats on the floor.

The first classes were rough. He was awkward, unsure, uncomfortable with all of it. That’s how it starts for every kid. But he kept showing up. Father and son, same class, same mats, learning together.

And something football politics could never touch started growing. Not toughness. Identity. He learned what he could handle. He learned pressure isn’t personal. He learned that on the mats, effort is the only currency, and nobody can bench you off your own progress.

That kid starts high school football now. On the field every play, training hard, loving the game again. But ask his dad what changed and he won’t say technique.

He knows who he is now. He stands up for himself. And he doesn’t walk past a kid going through what he went through.

That’s what got built in that barn. The football field just gets to borrow it.

Kids and adult jiu-jitsu classes return to Warriors Wellness Farm next month. If your kid is carrying something a season broke, the mats are patient.
