Now in its 10th year of production EatWell Natural Farm is dedicated to locally and sustainably grown food. We start with the soil by using compost and manure to enrich the land. We also work to close the circle by bringing organic matter back from our restaurants to compost on the farm. The compost will feed the soil, which feeds the veggies, which feed the restaurants and our guests. We have als

o expanded our growing area again this year and our full time farmer always strives to get more production out of the land while constantly feeding the soil. Our goal is to provide as much of the produce as we possibly can for all five EatWell Restaurants and Market. We hope to reflect this in more seasonal and sustainable menu options. You can feel good about eating the food coming out of EatWell Natural Farm. No chemical herbicides or pesticides are used. We do our best to work with nature to grow healthy food and give back to the land at the same time. If you would like to get more involved in your local food, we always welcome visitors and volunteers at the farm. For more information email our farm manager Jamie at [email protected]

Our Story

Now in its eigth year of production EatWell Natural Farm is dedicated to locally and sustainably grown food. We start with the soil by using compost and manure to enrich the land. We also work to close the circle by bringing organic matter back from our DC restaurants to compost on the farm. The compost will feed the soil, which feeds the veggies, which feed the restaurants and our guests. We are also expanding our growing area again this year and our new Farm Manager, Keith McNeal is striving to get more production out of the land while constantly feeding the soil. Our goal is to provide as much of the produce as we possibly can for all five EatWell Restaurants. We hope to reflect this in more seasonal and sustainable menu options. Our greenhouse and Hoop house are entering their fourth year of production and have been awesome in helping us to grow. You can feel good about eating the food coming out of EatWell Natural Farm. No chemical herbicides or pesticides are used. We do our best to work with nature to grow healthy food and give back to the land at the same time. If you would like to get more involved in your local food we always welcome visitors and volunteers at the farm. For more information email our farm manager Keith at [email protected]. To follow what's happening at the farm please visit our blog at www.growingafarmer.blogspot.com. "The industrial eater is, in fact, one who does not know that eating is an agricultural act, who no longer knows or imagines the connections between eating and the land, and who is therefore necessarily passive and uncritical... We still (sometimes) remember that we cannot be free if our minds and voices are controlled by someone else. But we have neglected to understand that we cannot be free if our food and its sources are controlled by someone else. The condition of the passive consumer of food is not a democratic condition. One reason to eat responsibly is to live free." - Wendell Berry
