INTRODUCING CANNON
Sired By Culture
As many of you know, we recently lost DOT, a boar that played a huge role in our program. While it's never easy to replace one like him, it gives us a lot of confidence knowing we had already started reloading our boar barn with the next generation.
Cannon saw very limited use last season as a young boar, but after watching him mature, we knew his time was coming. We've already started breeding him for our November-born litters, and we're incredibly excited about what he has to offer.
Interestingly, Cannon was originally purchased as a potential barrow prospect for Houston. But the more he developed, the more obvious it became—he was simply too good to cut. We made the decision to keep him intact, and we haven't looked back.
• Incredible barrow proportions
• Short-bodied with a chiseled front end
• Big enough-boned without giving up look
• Massive center body with excellent rib shape
• Built to add muscle, width, and genuine power
If you're looking to shorten one up, add shape, increase center body, and inject more power into a sow, Cannon deserves a serious look.
He's sired by Culture, the standout boar that stood at 66 Ventures before moving to Price Livestock. We've had absolute confidence in this boar since the day we bought him. He's matured exactly how we hoped he would and continues to impress us every time we see him.
One thing we also appreciate is that Cannon isn't an oversized boar. If you're trying to moderate frame size, slow one down just a touch, or make one more practical without sacrificing quality, we think he'll fit a lot of mating decisions.
To top it off, he's producing outstanding semen with excellent motility, and we're excited to see the impact he'll make on the future of the G5 Showpigs program.
We can't wait to see what CANNON brings to the next generation.
