You may or may not have noticed this page has been quiet. And the monthly cheesecakes haven’t been a thing since February. I have been torn as to say why but you all have been great supporters of my small business so I felt honesty was best.
February was a little stressful. I had 25 4” heart cheesecakes, plus 3 9”, plus an order of 200 bite size. All due on the 14th. I am a one man show and unfortunately the stress got to me so much so that on the 14th, after all was picked up, I ended up in the ER for what I thought was the beginning of a heart attack. Fortunately that was ruled out. I was told that it was more than likely an anxiety attack. Needless to say it scared me and made me realize I needed to take a step back and eliminate some stress.
I started this business because I love to make cheesecakes and I love seeing the joy they brought people. Making them for my family is how I got started. So, I thought, I’d share my most recent that I made for my son’s birthday, a Samoa inspired cheesecake with toasted coconut.
I have made the decision to continue to bake for my family, it brings me joy. But I am stepping away from selling my cheesecakes.
Thank you all for the support over these last few years. And if you have read all this, I’d love for you to share with me what has been your favorite cheesecake you have had that I made for you. 💗~Colleen
