Our Harbor Foods team was proud to volunteer alongside South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity in support of another year of their Women Build program, helping create safe, stable homes for local families.

Through our HarborCares program, giving back to the communities we serve is part of who we are. Whether it’s supporting local organizations or lending a hand where it’s needed most, we believe strong communities are built through action.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to work alongside an organization making such a meaningful impact across the South Sound.

From shelf sets to menu layouts, we design around your reality, not around a standard template.
Independent means we can listen on Monday, adjust on Tuesday, and have your plan live by the weekend. No corporate jargon, just partnership and action.

We’ve supported local operators for a century because local is where impact happens.
Here’s to the next 100 years of building around you.

Over the decades, we’ve made strategic moves. We've expanded and grown. Each choice was made with an intention to strengthen our autonomy and widen the variety we can deliver. The goal behind every milestone was the same: keep decisions close to customers so we can respond faster, tailor assortments, and invest in local partnerships.

It’s our commitment to you, and why we stay independent. We work for our operators, not shareholders.

We’re not building FOR shareholders, we’re building WITH the entrepreneurs we serve. That means sourcing products that our customers need. Creating programs market-by-market. And investing in an expert team whose job is to help your business grow, not just take your order.

As industry consolidation accelerates, independence has never mattered more.
According to Technomic, the top five distributors now control 83% of U.S. foodservice volume, but that’s not where innovation happens.

Harbor remains proudly family-owned, built on local decision-making, and focused on the success of more than 7,500 independent operators across the West Coast.

That’s what keeps our communities strong and entrepreneurs growing.

From humble beginnings in Aberdeen, WA, our independent spirit has guided every decision for a century. Being independent means we listen locally, move quickly, and design solutions around what our customers actually need without the slow-moving corporate bureaucracy. It’s about service and partnership. Here’s to a century of delivering goodness, service and partnership.

Harbor Foodservice

10/21/2025

We are spending time this week to honor the life and legacy of Wilber Ehrhardt Pribilsky, a pioneer in the Northwest food distribution industry and father of Harbor Foodservice President, Kevin Pribilsky, whose recent passing reminds us how deeply one person’s integrity, vision, and generosity can shape an entire community.

At just 14 years old, Wilber began working in the warehouse of Bur-Bee Candy Company in Walla Walla. Guided by dedication, integrity, and care for others, he went on to lead and eventually purchase the business, serving local grocers and restaurants across the Pacific Northwest for more than five decades.

In 2004, Harbor Wholesale purchased a portion of Bur-Bee Wholesale, marking Harbor’s first-ever acquisition and the continuation of Wilber’s legacy of entrepreneurship and service.

Wilber’s impact extended far beyond business. He was a Marine Corps veteran, a mentor, a volunteer, and a steadfast supporter of his community. His legacy lives on through his family, through the many people and businesses he inspired, and through the values he modeled every day, hard work, humility, and heart.

Our hearts are with Kevin and the entire Pribilsky family as they celebrate a life so well lived.
