Happy April 30th. It’s finally the last day in April and things here at the STRAWBERRY FARM are moving right along. The berries are plentiful and sweet

We are located on Highway 231 in Lacey’s Springs, one mile south of the Whitesburg Bridgr, across from the Dollar General under the white tent.

Our one gallon buckets are still only $13.00, cash/check and today we also gave a small quantity of farm fresh eggs at $3.00 a dozen and quarts of pickled eggs at $5.00. A little something for everyone.

With the possibility of rain early next week, today and tomorrow may be your best bets for STRAWBERRIES for the next few days.

Hope y’all will get a chance to run by and see us.

Tuesday, April 27. Good morning everyone. Its going to be another beautiful day in Laceys Springs. As the temperatures are warming up into the 80’s the berries are getting sweeter and sweeter.

Hi Facebook friends, we wanted to check in with everyone and let you all know that we had a crop failure late this spring. So there will be no peaches from E & J Farms this year. We are already planning and working on our strawberry crop for next spring. We hope you all stay safe, happy and healthy. Looking forward to seeing everyone next spring.

BLUEBERRIES AT PENDLEY FARMS
Hi everyone, just wanted to give a shout out to our friends at Pendley Farms. It’s blueberry season and this is where we go to pick our berries. You can find them on Facebook and at Pendleyfarms.com. You send them an email and they add you to their email notification list. They then send out emails with picking times and days. I highly recommend this farm to all of you. It’s not too much of a drive down there and definitely worth it. Really pretty place. And the berries, oh my goodness the berries. Hope to see some of you there this blueberry season.

I’m sorry to say that we made the hard decision to close for the season today. The picking has gotten so sparse we just had to call an end to this year.

We want to thank all of our sweet customers for you enthusiastic support this strawberry season. We have met so many really nice people and have new friends now.

We hope you will come see us in July when peach season gets started.

THANK YOU again to all our customers.

Good Wednesday morning. These cooler temps for the next few days are sure good news for all our little berries. They are so pretty, dark red, sweet and juicy. We are down to two pickers so the bucket production coming out of the field is a tiny bit slower but not much. I’m encouraging anyone who comes down to bring a book or something to do for a few minutes. You could get a start on that summer reading list.

Right now we feel confident that we will continue to pick through the end of the day Saturday but the season is coming to an end. When temps jump back up next week we will look at it again, we would like to keep picking. We will just have to wait and see. But for now, it’s still berry season so we hope you will come see us.
