Where are all my people who still love to write and send cards just because?
This year, I had the privilege of being the Instructional Assistant in the art classroom at the high school. The teacher, Mrs. P., is truly phenomenal, and I learned so much from her.
One thing that always stood out to me was her thoughtfulness. She would take the time to write encouraging notes and cards, not only to me, but to her students as well.
In a world where we all have access to email, texting, and social media, there is something special about receiving something tangible. The time spent choosing a card, sitting down, and writing a heartfelt message means so much. It feels more personal, more intentional, and far more meaningful.
Inspired by that, I've decided to try my hand at making handmade paper, and I am absolutely loving how it is turning out! These papers are biodegradable and made from recycled paper. Some have flower petals embedded in them, creating beautiful natural colors and textures, while others contain seeds, which I absolutely love.
The best part? Once you've enjoyed the card, it doesn't have to end there. It can be planted and transformed into something equally beautiful…flowers. 🌸
What do you all think?
