Every fall we open our farm to visitors to enjoy our little slice of heaven! Visitors can enjoy our play areas, visit with our farm animals, get lost in the corn maze and pick their own pumpkins from our patches.

To our valued customers, supporters, friends and family:

THANK YOU for another record breaking season! I was more uneasy entering our 8th season than I ever have been before. The pumpkin growing season was hard and the crop was below our expectations because of it. Costs, for us and our customers, were up on everything. My dad, who is a rock for us during pumpkin season, was unable to join us because of some unexpected health challenges.

When we opened our doors for the season I just wasn’t sure how, or if, the community would show up.

But once again, you did. You showed up and you showed up big!

You asked about my dad, and then told me how much you appreciated the new friendly faces behind the wheel of the tractor. (Shoutout to Bobby, Tom, Tim and Cheyenne for stepping up to help us this season! 🚜)

You commented on how much the deer enjoyed the pumpkins, but still left with wagon loads! When I apologized for the pumpkin crop not being great, you smiled and told me they were perfect!

You shared donuts with friends and family, fed Carol and her crew, shot pumpkins into the pastures, played in the corn, and made memories right here.

Memories for your family, and for mine.

We know you have many options when it comes to your time and money, and we’re beyond grateful for each minute and dollar you spend at Uptown Farms!

We have big plans for next year, including getting Papa Jim back behind the wheel of that tractor!

We invite you to follow along with us here in the off-season for exciting updates and sneak-peaks. And then, come September, we hope you’ll come see us again for your fall fun. 🎃 🌽

FINAL CALL! Somehow, we’ve approached the end of our 2025 season already! This weekend is your last chance. The rain chance is slight and intermittent, so it won’t stop us from having a great final weekend celebration!

You devoured them ALL last weekend, and we heard your cries! 🧀

We are fully restocked with the famous Fresh Wisconsin Cheese Curds from Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery—the official "Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin" since 1984!

You have two weekends remaining for the season to get your hands on these incredible, fresh, never-fried gems.

🧀 What IS a Fresh Cheese Curd? (A little history for our friends!)

If you've only had the fried version, you're missing out on the magic of the fresh curd!

🧀 The Birth of the Curd (A Happy Accident!):

Cheese curds are an ancient, delicious leftover! Every piece of cheese, from cheddar to brie, starts as a curd. When cheesemakers coagulate milk and cut the solids (curds) from the liquid (whey), the small pieces are what you get.

🧀 Why people started eating them:

Early cheesemakers realized they had a tasty, protein-packed snack before the final cheese wheel was pressed! They were a simple, fresh byproduct of the cheesemaking process, eaten right out of the vat. It's the original cheesemaker's treat!

🧀 Wisconsin's Legacy: The tradition exploded in Wisconsin, especially around the early 1900s, when thousands of small cheese factories were operating. These small businesses needed to sell their freshest curds immediately—creating the tradition of eating them ultra-fresh.

🧀 The Key to Freshness: The Squeak! 🎶

The ultimate sign of a truly fresh curd is the squeak you hear when you bite into it! This fun sound happens because of the perfect, elastic network of proteins in a young, un-aged curd rubbing against your tooth enamel. It's literally the sound of freshness!

🧀 How to Enjoy:

Straight out of the bag at room temperature is the ultimate way to experience the squeak! (Though a quick 5-10 seconds in the microwave can revive a chilled curd's squeak, too!)

Thank you to all of our weekend visitors for an amazing weekend! A special thanks to our Sunday visitors who were so gracious with our dwindling supplies of curds, sodas and flavored lemonades (blame the Saturday crowds 😜). We will be fully stocked and ready to roll next weekend.

5️⃣ Steps to your Uptown Farms adventure! 🌽 🎃 🐐

Step 1: Check in at the store to pay admission, check out the baked goods for the day, and of course see this season’s t-shirts. Get your wrist band and move to step 2.

Step 2: Head to the donut barn to grab your first fresh dozen. Add some cheese curds (we recommend a package of ranch and a package of buffalo together). Grab a craft soda, lemonade or cider, or opt to visit UnWined at the Wine Barn for a cold beer, wine slushee or glass of Missouri wine!

Step 3: Hop on the hay ride and tackle the corn maze! Ask for a map in the store or take a chance without one.

Step 4: Bounce, play and hang out with Carol. When you buy your goat feed don’t skip a set of sling shot pumpkins!

Step 5: Head out to the pumpkin patch, grab a wagon and cutters and find your perfect pumpkin!

Step 6: Grab another dozen donuts to take home and mark your calendar for your next visit!
