One of my favorite parts of fair this year had nothing to do with ribbons or banners.

It was watching one brother step back from showing and become his brother’s biggest supporter. Whether it was helping behind the scenes, lending a hand, or just making sure Easton had what he needed, Tyson was always there.

Easton packed a lot into one week—surprising us by showing a dairy cow and a pig, mentoring in the Bacon Buddies show, being on the winning livestock judging team, mud volleyball ending with a quick trip to the ER, time with friends, and accomplishing a goal he’d been chasing by winning the Market Show.

More than anything, I’m proud of the way he handled it all. And even more thankful for the reminder that some of the best moments at the fair happen outside the show ring.

Last fall our youngest son set a personal goal and it came to fruition on Saturday.
Congrats bud, not just on the win, but on setting a goal and seeing it through.

No matter how busy life gets, the annual Beef Quality Show is an event we always look forward to! Any day with others who want to learn more about raising quality cattle is time well spent. We had record numbers this year and a great show! Peters Beef Genetics

What a beautiful afternoon spent with members of the Alabama Farmers Federation! We enjoyed visiting with this great group and sharing a little about our cattle operation. Their Southern charm made the visit even more enjoyable—and apparently Easton’s infamous Cadillac was enough to lure a few people away from the tour for a closer look! We’re excited to host the Open Quality Beef Show this Sunday, June 28th.

📍 Cornfed Farms – 2119 G Ave., Marengo
⏰ Weigh-in: 2:00–4:00 p.m.
🏆 Judging begins at 5:00 p.m.

✔ Open to anyone
✔ $20/head entry fee (waived for Iowa County Cattlemen members)
✔ BQA or YQCA certified
✔ Cattle graded and harvested at Tyson’s in Joslin, IL

Bring your cattle, bring your family, and join us for a great afternoon of competition and learning. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday!
