Good Saturday Morning Friends!! Going to be a beautiful day!

Reminder Joyful Acres is open today Saturday, August 29, but then we will be closed the following days:
Sunday, August 30 - Sunday, September, 6.

Reopening on Monday, September 7th diving into FALL! 🍁🍂🧡

When I first bought Joyful Acres 19 years ago, we had 2 persimmon trees...a male and a female.

About 10 or 11 years ago, I decided on a whim to stop mowing the saplings, and as a result we now have over 500 persimmon trees. Literally no exaggeration!
We call that area in our yard 'The Jungle'.

My oldest son kindly cut a trail through it, and I love that little 'deep woods' walk.

I love the sweet delicious taste of persimmons and happily share the pulp with you all. However, this year I am going to try my best to actually add some persimmon goodies to the Joyful Acres farm stand. Be looking for both pulp and goodies to arrive in October. 🧡

Good Morning Friends! Hope you are all doing great!

Gardens and produce have been a bit challenging this summer so it is making me look forward to fall and winter when I bake more.

What flavors and/or varieties of sourdough bread would you all like to see at the Joyful Acres farm market?

I did have a mishap last week of letting my dough overproof and I turned it into amazing rosemary and garlic focaccia. May just share that with you all soon! 🤗
