At the Igloo, the safety and welfare of our employees is a top priority and due to the predicted weather conditions for today we have made the decision to close at 2 PM today (Wed. 6-17)
We will batten down the hatches and continue to listen to Chad Evans Weather page for updates throughout the day!
Be safe out there everyone❤️
Rainfall & t'storms with warm front moving east-southeastward & southeastward.....We have already had quite a bit of severe weather along & just south of the warm front Iowa to central Illinois this morning.
All of this rain will continue to move in over the next 1-2 hours with a few t'storms. This is extremely important to the forecast as it will determine magnitude of worst corridor of tornado risk. If it rains too long & there is no break, it may very well shift the greatest threat southwest of our area, but if we do get the break & get the warm front northward, that corridor will shift in here. Regardless, severe outbreak risk is still there for this evening-tonight for wind, hail, some tornadoes & I will go in deep depths with that in your forecast. I will also dig into trends into July with it at chadevansweather.substack.com
Forecast should be up by 2 p.m.
