Thank you to everyone who supported our small business this season! Your encouragement, purchases and continued support mean more to us than words can express. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you who stopped by, shared our posts and helped make this season a success.

A special thank you to Bennett’s Greenhouse for generously allowing us to use their space throughout the season. Your hospitality and support helped create a wonderful experience for both vendors and customers.

We’d also like to thank WKOA for helping spread the word about us through their videos and coverage. Your support helped us reach so many people in our community.

And a huge thank you to Roger, Steve and Tori for all of your hard work and assistance this season. We truly appreciate the time, effort and dedication you gave to help everything run smoothly.

Here’s an FYI for ya 🧐

Next time you shuck an ear of corn, look at that annoying tangle of silk with a little respect. Every single thread is connected to one — exactly one — kernel.

For a kernel to exist, a grain of pollen had to land on the tip of its personal silk, then grow a tube down the entire length of that thread to reach it. Eight hundred kernels on the ear means eight hundred silks, and eight hundred separate deliveries that all arrived.

And those gaps where kernels are missing? Nothing wrong with the plant. That's just a silk that never got its grain of pollen — usually because a hot, dry week made the timing miss.

The messiest part of shucking corn is actually the most precise thing in the garden.
