Today is our annual Dead West celebration at the Lafayette brewery, and as is the case each year, we made a very special beer for the event. This year’s release is called Ace.
Brewed to honor the life and legacy of the Grateful Dead’s “other one,” Bob Weir, Ace is a modern West Coast IPA crafted with super pale Canadian Pilsner malt, German Vienna malt, Montana-grown wheat, and Dextrose. We went all in, layering big additions of Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Nectaron T-90 hop pellets alongside Centennial Incognito, Columbus Cryo, and Krush Quantum, resulting in huge notes of guava, white grapefruit, & cannabis with a dry & crisp finish. Ace (7.2%ABV.) will be available at the Lafayette brewery today when the festivities kick off at noon. Both draught and cans while they last.
We have a great lineup of music for today: Lazy Summer Home Duo is playing from 1 to 3pm(ish), then Elle Michelle's Grateful Holler will take the stage around 4pm. Crick Wooder will be finishing things off with a 6:30pm performance. We also have McDevitt Taco Supply onsite all day serving great food.
Lastly, this is a highly anticipated event and our busiest day of the year - we do have 20+ parking spaces (with free street parking a block away on Carr), but if you're local, we suggest walking/biking to cut down on the automobile chaos. 🙏
