Throwback Thursday: Twenty years ago, looking out over a very green field, with the start of a pony herd that would become my passion. Some lessons in breeding can only become clear after many years of watching ponies grow and mature. But correct conformation, trainability and true breed type have a way of standing the test of time. So grateful for the positive impact my program has had on the breed over all these years.

We're over the halfway mark in our season out here at the Arizona Renaissance , and we have had such an amazing show so far!! Our involvement with festivals to promote the Fell Pony began 17 years ago, stepping onto the stage, volunteering our time, and introducing the public to this remarkable breed.
It became so much more over the years, an organic expression of our love for all animals.
This year, our unicorn is played by DreamHayven Aphrodite, aka 'Moxie', and she is beyond a doubt loving her role!

Twenty years ago this fall, this farm was truly 'just a dream'. Today, it's two decades filled with stories, hoofbeats, and the kind of moments that shape a life. And on this Thanksgiving Day, we are overwhelmed with gratitude, for every pony, all the miracles along the way, and every heart that stayed loyal through our journey. Thank you believing in us, in our program, and most of all, the tough, hardy Fell Ponies from far away, that have made such a difference in our lives.

What a goodbye to this sweet weanling filly, as DreamHayven Ginger departed this afternoon to join her new family where a big brother and sister await (DreamHayven Dionysus & DreamHayven Sassafras). Thank you Chris & Rick for placing your trust in my program for a third time- you are going to love Daisy Lu/Hashbrown Two!! 🙏🧡🖤🤎

Back in the saddle 😆 with Farm Family Fridays, this time featuring the beautiful 2016 mare DreamHayven Dahlia, owned by Kim in Florida. Kim has done a simply amazing job with Dahlia, coming into her life as her second owner, and chose to focus on carriage driving. The Florida circuit can be very competitive, but she has quickly risen to the top not only in results but in getting Dahlia in top condition and presented correctly for the breed. Kim is a member of the Florida Whips, and Dahlia has won Grand Champion Novice Pony, while Kim was awarded Grand Champion Novice Driver. I am so proud of them!
In Kim's words: "I’m so happy to have one of your ponies, and feel blessed to be able to experience their personalities."
Dahlia is from one of our most sought after and successful pairings, sired by Stennerskeugh Danny Boy and out of Littletree Babysham. "Dolly", as she was called as a foal, was one of my very favorites. I'll never forget her! And lucky luck, we happen to have two full siblings to Dahlia available to purchase, to qualified homes. Farm Family Fridays continue with this beautiful young mare, DreamHayven Dalwhinnie 🥰. It was nearly 4 years ago to the day that her owners, Scott & Deborah were at Dream Hayven for a farm visit and saw their pony for the first time, just 3 months old! Taking after her parents in every way, it wasn't long before that fuzzy little foal blossomed into a typey combination of her sire and dam, Stennerskeugh Danny Boy x Littletree Babysham. Deb says she loves water, even swimming in their pond, and took to saddle training with ease 💜💓.

Continuing our Farm Family Fridays feature, this week we celebrate Jody & her gelding DreamHayven Wainwright (aka Romeo). Back in 2021, she was looking for help selecting a pony that would be her perfect partner. Romeo was about 10 months old, and from how she described her needs, I thought he could be a great choice. Thankfully he was everything she hoped for in a Fell Pony and those days of raising a youngster have given way to days in the saddle! And earlier this year, Jody brought home a little brother to her herd with DreamHayven Heartbreaker. So grateful to be included in their journey together!

Days don't get much better than this! The herd is enjoying one of the nicest Septembers on record, with green grass stretching out to the sky, it seems 💚. And one of my favorite reasons for selfies- the Departure Day pic, as we said 'bon voyage' to DreamHayven Drifter, making his way across the US to sunny AZ, joining an established Fell Pony program with Pam & family! 🤩

TGIF!! Here celebrating our Farm Family Fridays, this time with the pony we all affectionately know as "Peanut". Peanut lives with his family in VA, and ever since, they make sure to send me a picture of everyone at his birthday party. So precious!! Peanut (Cumberland Admiral) is six years old now, and is clearly living his best life! 🥰 Thank you Marissa and family for choosing Peanut and trusting Dream Hayven to select a suitable match for your family.

TGIF!! So excited to debut our new Friday feature (long overdue, may I add), aptly named Farm Family Fridays. We are so fortunate, and grateful, to receive so many updates and pics of our Dream Hayven ponies all over the world. We could feature a different pony every Friday, and still take more than two years to make the rounds! 👀 Our debut pony and their owner is Jane B from Oregon, with her gelding DreamHayven Driving Force. "Liam" is 8 years old now, started with care at an appropriate age and ever since then, no looking back for this beautiful partnership🤩!

So excited to see what the stork is bringing us in just a few short weeks! I brought Bybeck Tiffany in for a little brush up and a once over. Looks perfect (to me) as she always does 😍. Really curious how its going to go with the fall foals, which I scheduled to see if the timing is better for the mares and foals than nursing a little one through 'Nashville Hot' summers!! 🔥🔥
