Right now, the farm romaines open (I know this is serious but some terrible plants puns always make me smile) for our customers with fresh greens and herbs. Here is a message from Ron regarding all of this:
As I hope you know, we care deeply about our community and realize that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a time to take care of our staff and our community for our health, safety and well-being. As we all continue to grapple with this escalating health crisis, I want to share an update on the steps we’re taking at YB Farm to protect all of us as we work through this unprecedented situation.
Please be assured that we are closely monitoring the rapidly changing situation regarding COVID-19 and are taking necessary actions in line with the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the NJ Department of Health.
YB Farm Operations
Any staff member experiencing respiratory symptoms is required to stay home and not come to work until he/she is free of fever (100.4° F [38.0° C] or less using an oral thermometer), signs of a fever, and any other symptoms for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicines (e.g., cough suppressants).
Any staff who have been exposed to someone with symptoms—or have recently traveled by bus, plane, or train—are required to self-quarantine for two weeks.
Remote working arrangements are being established for all staff who can do so.
Protective measures such as sanitizing procedures and social distancing are being implemented for staff that cannot work remotely.
